Saltwater Fishing Reports - Carolina Beach & Kure Beach,NC
October 25th, 2005 by Capt. Matt WirtHi, this is Capt. Matt Wirt with Reel Adventure Charters reporting:
Inshore the redfish and flounder action is on fire. Big numbers of redfish are being caught in the ICW and on the mud flats near Southport. They are biting well on Berkley Gulp! and live bait. The flounder are concentrated near the inlets and are stacking up on many inshore and near shore ledges. The speckled trout are also biting well and they can be found near creek mouths and inlets.
Offshore the Spanish have finally thinned out a bit. The gray trout have moved in and can be caught at any near shore reef using stingsilvers. The King Mackerel action is hot right off the beach on out to about 20 miles. Live bait is preferred but dead cigars will still produce good results. The false albacore should be showing up soon and are a blast to catch on ultra light tackle!
