Captain Jot Owens Fishing Report

On 11-13, I fished with my good friend Rich Wells. His father and Uncle were in from Colorado, we went out for a little trout fishing. We caught 15 trout in the 1 to 3 pound range “good eating size”, Rich caught the biggest one late that afternoon. We caught the trout on grubs, Saltwater Assassin Sea shad color “chart. diamond” this has been a good color for me this year!

Today I took Glenn Day and his son, and well we killed the Trout!!! We had a total of 59, yes I said 59, It was a very good day!

We started using Saltwater Assassin Sea shads in colors “chart. diamond and crystal shad” red heads. We got five on jigs, then I decided to see if they would hit live shrimp better. Boy they like the shrimp, every cast caught a trout or missed one! 59 trout later we were out of bait, time to go home.

We kept our limit, “Glenn’s fish fry should go just fine”!! We had a lot of fun, I even got to catch a few between netting trout.
