That inlet is as necessary as indoor plumbing and without it the big Flounder and other fish will have much longer distances to travel and Snow’s Cut might not be the hot spot it is. Basically, it could be an environmental disaster. Is it not just as important to you to keep the inlet open as it was to close the South End at night? So now we are all on the same side again fighting to protect our cause which is the right to fish the ocean and you to protect Masonboro Island. Let’s hear your point of view. Fishing wise, Trout remain around the Fort Fisher Monument along with a few Puppy Drum and lots of Sharks. Offshore, Black Seabass are big. Real big! They can be found from the schoolhouse fishing spot on out… King Mackerel are scattered and small and feeding on spoons mostly. Keep fishin and releasin!
