Cape Fear Fishing with Affordable Charters
March 30th, 2008 by SFTC PressInshore this past week has been very windy, but we still managed to have some good catches of Virginia mullet in the 1 to 2 lb range, a few speckled trout, gray trout, red drum & black drum.
In the surf some flounder are starting to show up with some speckled trout, small bluefish, red drum, & Virginia mullet.
On the piers bluefish, small croaker, Virginia mullet, & a few flounder.
Fishing tip of the week: There has been a few changes in size & limits. Ocean flounder minimum is now 15 ½ inches. Internal are still 14 inches. Gray trout are still 12 inches but you can only keep 6 per day. If you would like to have a list of size limits go to your local bait & tackle shops or you can go to the website at www.ncfisheries.net/recreational/recguide.htm. Keep fishing & stay safe.
