Affordable Charters Fishing Report 2-24-08

February 24th, 2008 by SFTC Press

Inshore some reports of speckled trout, red drum & black drum at the south side of Masonboro Inlet.

In the surf a few speckled trout, small Virginia mullet, & spiny dog fish.
Fishing tip of the week: There are still a few Virginia mullet at the mouth of the Cape Fear River. I fish most of the time around Bald Head Island. If I don’t have much luck on trout or drum it’s normally a sure thing at the mouth of the river using a spot rig with small pieces of shrimp. Keep fishing & stay safe.
