Fall fishing is looking good…
October 15th, 2007 by SFTC PressIn the surf nice size bluefish, spots, small croaker, pompano, flounder, red drum, black drum, & Virginia mullet.
On the piers in the past few weeks the king mackerel fishing has been great. Also spots, croaker, Virginia mullet, bluefish, sheepshead, flounder, & gray trout.
Inshore lots of speckled trout & gray trout are starting to show up. Also catching red drum, flounder, black drum, blowfish & pigfish.
Offshore top water king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, sailfish, & wahoo. On the bottom red & gag grouper, grunts, snapper, black bass, & ringtail.
Fishing tip of the week: The fishing this summer was very good compared to previous years. This fall should be very good. We have massive amounts of mullet minnows around & the shrimp are on the move. That equals good fishing. So for those of you that haven’t had a chance to fish this summer dust off your fishing gear & get out there & catch some fish. Keep fishing & stay safe.
