Affordable Charters Fishing Report

This past week in the surf and on the piers the fish have had lock jaw. A few Virginia mullet, pompano, flounder, blues, some red drum & small croaker.

Inshore some nice size flounder, red drum, still a few black drum around, speckled trout, gray trout, a few Virginia mullet, blowfish, pigfish, & croaker,

Offshore top water king & Spanish mackerel, sailfish, wahoo, & shark. On the bottom offshore gag, red grouper, snapper, grunts, black bass, & ringtail.

Fishing tip of the week: when the surf fishing is as slow as it has been this past week you need to fish a spot for a short time & then move to the next hole and next. This will increase your catch on a slow day. Keep fishing & stay safe.

On the piers king mackerel & Spanish mackerel, spot, croaker, Virginia mullet, bluefish, sheepshead, flounder, & gray trout.

In the surf nice size blues, spots, croaker, pompano, flounder, red drum, & Virginia mullet.

Inshore speckled trout, gray trout, red drum, flounder, black drum, blowfish, & pigfish.

Offshore top water king mackerel, large Spanish mackerel, sailfish, & wahoo.

On the bottom red & gag grouper, grunts, snapper, black bass, & ringtail.

Fishing tip of the week: This weeks tip is on how to protect your lower unit from sandbars, etc. I have started using a new accessory called a skeg guard or skeg pro. This guard is custom fit for every model of boat motor & is made of stainless steel. The only place I have found them is Overton’s. They cost around $100.
